Vicente Calderon Stadium location is near to the Manzanares river in Arganzuela´s district. It´s the stadium in which the Club Atlético of Madrid celebrate all their matches.

The stadium was opened officially the 2nd October of 1966 and was renamed later with the new name "Vicente Calderón" Stadium.

After 2016, Atletico de Madrid Club will be the owner of the Peineta Stadium and Vicente Calderón is going to be demolished to build a park.

El estadio Vicente Calderón está ubicado en el distrito de Arganzuela a orillas del río Manzanares. Su equipo titular es el Club Atlético de Madrid.

El 2 de octubre de 1966 se inauguró oficialmente el Estadio Manzanares, más tarde el 14 de julio de 1971 se cambió el nombre a Estadio Vicente Calderón.

Después de 2016 el Estadio de la Peineta pasará a ser propiedad del Club Atlético de Madrid, y el actual Estadio Vicente Calderón, será demolido para construir un parque.

The Royal Palace / El Palacio Real

That´s correct! The image belongs to the right part of Madrid´s Real Palace.
The Real Palace is the place in which the King of Spain celebrates official acts.
The origin comes along the ninth century. After, in the sixteenth century was built the old fortress that was detroyed in 1734 because of the fire. Later Philip V ordered the new construction. In 1764, Charles III took up his residence there.
Today visitable, you can see the inside of the Real Palace and  the exposition of the Royal Armouries.

Efectivamente, la imagen anterior pertenece a un trozo de la parte derecha del Palacio Real de Madrid. Este es el lugar donde Su Majestad el Rey de España realiza actos oficiales.
Su origen se remonta al siglo IX. Más tarde, en el siglo XVI se construyó el Antiguo Alcázar que fue destruido en 1734 por un incendio, posteriormente Felipe V mandó construir el actual Palacio. En 1764 Carlos III estableció su residencia allí.
Actualmente visitable, en su interior se encuentra una exposición de la Real Armería, así como la visita al interior del Palacio.

What's that es un blog que hemos diseñado para dar a conocer los lugares que nos parecen más importantes de cada ciudad que hemos visitado.
